[담당업무] * Purpose of the Position Within the framework of objectives set by General Management, the Senior R&D Manager defines, organizes, and oversees Research & Development activities for Bobst Korea. This role is critical in shaping the innovation, development, and design of new products, aligning with the overall strategy of Bobst Korea. The Senior R&D managers manage both the Electrical Engineering Team (team of 4) and the Mechanical Design Team (team of 10), ensuring efficient collaboration and synergy between the two functions. * Key Responsibilities 1. Management & Leadership 1) Organize, guide, and oversee the work of the Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Design teams. 2) Lead department meetings to ensure continuity of activities and communicate company strategy, vision, and updates. 3) Manage resource needs and participate in talent acquisition and recruitment processes. 4) Develop employee competencies, conduct annual performance reviews, and set objectives according to company policies. 5) Participate in salary review processes and contribute to talent retention initiatives. 6) Ensure strict compliance with company policies, particularly in hygiene, health, and safety regulations. 7) Implement and oversee company strategy within the R&D department. 8) Collaborate with General Management on major short-, medium-, and long-term development objectives. 9) Represent and promote Bobst Korea’s R&D vision within the Bobst Group and the broader market, including institutions, technical bodies, and key stakeholders. 10) Organize and lead the department in alignment with the group’s vision and strategic direction. 11) Define department policy and translate it into concrete actions and measurable outcomes. 12) Establish budgetary needs, define objectives, and monitor results. 13) Communicate company-wide matters, including projects, results, and strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals. 14) Support change management initiatives and drive innovation within the team. 2. Technology & Strategy Development 1) Analyze the company’s technical positioning, including engaged technologies and technological trends in the market. 2) Conduct continuous monitoring of industry advancements, ensuring Bobst Korea remains at the forefront of innovation. 3) Ensure the company acquires and retains critical technical and technological expertise. 4) Anticipate, research, and identify technological disruptions to sustain the company’s competitive edge. 5) Promote cross-functional collaboration between electrical and mechanical design teams to optimize product performance and efficiency. 3. Product Development & Design Management 1) Ensure compliance with commitments related to product development, meeting deadlines and quality standards. 2) Initiate, monitor, and oversee projects, ensuring timely execution and flagging risks when necessary. 3) Drive continuous improvement in design processes, ensuring the highest standards of product quality, reliability, and safety. 4) Ensure seamless integration of electrical and mechanical components in product development. 5) Foster outsourcing management, overseeing specifications, supplier coordination, and project timelines. 6) Guarantee compliance with safety regulations (CE, UL) and lead the adoption of safety architectures for industrial machinery. * Scope of Authority & Decision-Making 1) Oversees the R&D department, managing a team of approximately 15 professionals across Electrical and Mechanical Design. 2) Provides transparent reporting of actions and results to management, ensuring alignment with defined objectives. 3) Makes strategic and operational decisions within the department, balancing innovation with budgetary and operational constraints. 4) Ensures budget compliance within the financial framework set by General Management. [자격요건] 1) Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field. 2) 15+ years of experience in R&D, product development, or innovation management within the industrial machinery, automation, or printing equipment industry. 3) Proven leadership experience, managing both Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Design teams. 4) Expertise in electrical and mechanical system integration, ensuring seamless collaboration between teams. 5) Strong knowledge of safety regulations (CE, UL) and safety architectures for industrial automation. 6) Experience in motion control systems, including LS Drives, BOSCH, or similar platforms. 7) Experience in outsourcing and supplier management, including defining technical specifications and project follow-ups. [우대요건] 1) Background in industrial automation, smart factories, or high-precision machinery development. 2) Experience in driving large-scale projects and leading cross-functional teams. 3) Knowledge of Omron, Sick, or similar safety solutions. 4) Familiarity with power conversion systems (inverters, converters, etc.). 5) Fluency in English for international collaboration with suppliers and stakeholders. 6) Certifications such as PMP, Six Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing.
